The focusing system uses a rack and pinion mechanism that is astonishingly precise and smooth. The entire head can be easily rotated through 360º and has inter-pupillary distance adjustment. This makes this microscope suitable for ergonomic use by the greatest number of people and assists in achieving parfocality when a camera is attached. Illumination is built into the pillar stand and provides both incident and transmitted LED illumination. The stand has a well painted base with steel poles.
