Vickers Long Arm Stereo / Stereoscopic / Dissecting / Binocular Microscope - Sterimag2. Vickers long arm stereo microscope, Sterimag 2, Magnification options are.

The head is adjustable to the required angle and the unit has an inbuilt transformer and 6V 6W illumimator which can be directed at the viewed area. The microscope appears to work without fault. Looking toward the eyepieces, on the right hand side, it is missing the black magnification selector to change from 20x to 40x (see photo). The magnification can be selected from the opposite side without any issue.

I've also noticed that the adjusting'wingnut', which is supposed to tighten the arm to the pole, does not in fact reach the pole - it's too short! I don't know why this is but the arm will happily sit in any position on the pole under its own weight so it's not really necessary. The only issue I think would be when carrying the microscope, but given the weight of the base, for your own safety, you would likely never lift it solely from the arm even if the screw was tightened to the pole.

Please note the microscope base is very heavy - total weight. The microscope has been in storage for some time and the optics could do with a clean. Overall the microscope is in excellent condition particularly for its age. It has a some fine scratches (likely made by bored students) to the base unit but nothing major.
